Storytime on the Stoop: Henry’s Freedom Box

Join us for Storytime on the Stoop as we read Henry’s Freedom Box by Ellen Levine, illustrated by Kadir Nelson. Based on the life of Henry “Box” Brown, this story follows one man’s courageous journey from enslavement to freedom. Through an interactive read-aloud and age-appropriate conversation, families will explore freedom, courage, and hope, then create artwork inspired by what freedom means to them. Designed for children ages 0-8 and their caregivers.

This program is free with Museum admission. Reserve your spot by adding a free Storytime ticket to your admission purchase.
