Storytime on the Stoop: Ruth and the Green Book

Join us for Storytime on the Stoop as we read Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin A. Ramsey and Gwen Strauss. Follow Ruth and her family on a road trip as they discover how the Green Book helped Black travelers find welcoming places during segregation. Through an interactive read-aloud and age-appropriate conversation, families will explore fairness, belonging, and how communities support one another, then create artwork imagining a place where everyone feels welcome. Designed for children ages 0-8 and their caregivers.
